VERSION 1.0.0

Effective 12 August 2026. This public page reproduces all eighteen sections supplied inside the Android release.

01

Who this policy covers

This policy explains how the Android application Chalkline Atlas handles information. Chalkline Atlas is prepared for Cambridge Gymnastics Club Incorporated and is designed as an offline educational companion for gymnastics-session readiness, movement awareness, family participation, and community-club routines. In this policy, ‘the app’ means the installed Android application identified by package nz.org.cambridgegymnastics.chalklineatlas. The policy does not govern the club’s separate website, registration portal, payment providers, email systems, social-media pages, competition systems, or records kept by coaches and administrators. Those services have their own practices and notices.

02

What the app is designed to do

The app provides prewritten educational chapters, fictional decision stories, a bounded session-card composer, a quiet attention exercise, a sourced club-history page, and a privacy centre. It is not a membership database, timetable, booking service, attendance register, payment system, judging tool, emergency channel, health service, rehabilitation programme, or replacement for a qualified coach. Content stored inside the installed package can be read without creating an account or connecting the app to a server. Current class availability, fees, registrations, safeguarding contacts, venue rules, and emergency arrangements must be confirmed through the club’s official channels.

03

Personal data the app does not collect

Version 1.0.0 does not ask for or collect names, email addresses, telephone numbers, postal addresses, dates of birth, school details, membership identifiers, payment information, photographs, videos, audio, contacts, calendar entries, precise or approximate location, device advertising identifiers, health records, injury notes, attendance, skill results, competition scores, free-text journal entries, or private messages. It does not send a roster, child profile, coach note, family record, or device activity to Cambridge Gymnastics Club Incorporated or to the app developer. The app has no account, sign-in form, upload field, public profile, chat, forum, follower system, or cloud sync.

04

Local preferences stored on the device

The app may store a small set of fixed local preferences in Android SharedPreferences. These preferences can include the identifiers of up to four selected session-awareness cards, whether the optional launch introduction has already been viewed, the most recently opened educational chapter, and a user-controlled reduced-motion choice. The available values come from a closed list supplied with the app; users cannot enter names or free text. These preferences remain inside the app’s private storage on the device, are not transmitted, and are not used to identify a person. The Session Composer includes a Reset action, and clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app also removes these local preferences.

05

Android permissions and device access

The release does not request Android Internet, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, Bluetooth, nearby-device, notification, storage, photo-library, activity-recognition, body-sensor, health-data, accessibility-service, or location permissions. It does not run a background service or collect clipboard content. Android backup and device-transfer rules are configured to exclude the app’s private data. The operating system and the Google Play Store may independently process technical information when installing, updating, securing, or reporting on the app; those platform operations are governed by the platform provider, not by code in Chalkline Atlas.

06

External websites and deliberate browser links

The Source Shelf and About pages contain clearly labelled links to public sources such as the organization-controlled club website, Gymnastics New Zealand, Waipā District Council, the New Zealand Business Number register, and the Incorporated Societies register. Selecting a link asks Android to open the address in an external browser or another capable application. Chalkline Atlas does not load those pages inside a WebView and does not receive the browsing data that the external service may collect. Before following a link, users should review the destination’s privacy and accessibility information. Leaving the app may use an Internet connection even though Chalkline Atlas itself requests no Internet permission.

07

Children, young people, and family use

Gymnastics content is relevant to children and families, so the app is deliberately designed without child accounts, behavioural advertising, public profiles, direct messages, social discovery, precise location, camera capture, contact uploading, or open text. A parent, caregiver, or other responsible adult should decide how a child uses the app and should remain responsible for real-world supervision, transport, registration, consent, health information, and communication with the club. The app must not be used to arrange private unobserved adult–child contact or to record a child’s identity, performance, attendance, injury, or whereabouts. If a child or young person is concerned about conduct or safety, they should tell a trusted adult, coach, or the appropriate safeguarding contact rather than relying on the app.

08

Gymnastics safety, health, and emergency limits

Chalkline Atlas offers general awareness prompts, not personalised coaching or medical advice. It does not assess readiness, diagnose an injury, prescribe repetitions or training loads, teach spotting, clear a participant to return to sport, or instruct unsupported inversions, aerial skills, high-apparatus work, release moves, or advanced progressions. Qualified coaches, venue procedures, responsible adults, safeguarding personnel, and health professionals remain the decision-makers. A participant should pause and tell the responsible adult or coach if they experience pain, dizziness, illness, fear, an unclear landing area, damaged equipment, or a stop signal. For immediate danger or an emergency, contact on-site staff and the appropriate local emergency service; the app cannot receive, monitor, or respond to emergency reports.

09

No account, messaging, or community database

The app does not create a relationship graph or community directory. It has no email form, in-app support ticket, chat room, private message, comment, reaction, leaderboard, competition entry, attendance list, volunteer roster, or member search. Scenario answers and selected session cards are local learning interactions, not reports to the club. If a user chooses to contact the club through an external email application or website after leaving Chalkline Atlas, that communication occurs outside the app and is handled under the recipient service’s practices. Do not include unnecessary personal or child information when making an external enquiry.

10

No advertising, analytics, tracking, or profiling

Version 1.0.0 contains no advertising SDK, ad placement, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, attribution SDK, social-media SDK, remote configuration, fingerprinting code, behavioural profiling, cross-app tracking, targeted promotion, or in-app purchase. It does not create an advertising identifier, measure engagement on a server, sell audiences, or use app time as a performance target. The app’s educational interactions have no streak, reward currency, public rank, or pressure to keep a child engaged. If any future release materially changes this design, the app, policy, Play Data Safety form, Families declarations, and user notice must all be updated before that release is distributed.

11

Retention, reset, and deletion

Because the app does not operate a server or account system, it has no remote user record to retain or delete. Fixed local preference identifiers remain until the user resets them, clears Android app storage, or uninstalls the app. Resetting Session Composer selections removes those selections immediately from the app’s SharedPreferences. Uninstall behaviour is controlled by Android. The app disables backup and device transfer for its private data, but users should consult their device provider if they have questions about operating-system-level diagnostics or store installation history, which are outside Chalkline Atlas.

12

Security and integrity measures

The app reduces privacy risk by avoiding accounts, remote databases, network permissions, external runtime SDKs, open text, media capture, and sensitive permissions. Local preferences use Android’s private application storage and the release is digitally signed. No software can be guaranteed completely secure, and a rooted, compromised, shared, or physically accessible device may expose information stored by applications. Users should keep Android security updates current, use an appropriate device lock, obtain the app only from an authorized distribution channel, and avoid installing modified packages. The club should retain its signing material and release records securely.

13

Sharing, sale, and disclosure

Chalkline Atlas does not transmit personal data to Cambridge Gymnastics Club Incorporated, advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, social networks, or other third parties, and it does not sell or rent personal data. Public-source buttons disclose only the destination address to Android when the user deliberately asks to open a link; the destination service then operates independently. If disclosure were ever required in connection with a lawful investigation of the software itself, there is no app-operated user database to disclose. Separate records that a person supplies directly to the club or another service are outside this app policy.

14

International use and transfers

The app is prepared for a New Zealand community organization, but an installed copy may be used in another country. Version 1.0.0 does not transfer app-collected personal data across borders because it does not collect or transmit that data. External websites selected by a user may be hosted or processed in other locations under their own terms. Gymnastics, safeguarding, emergency, consumer, and privacy requirements vary by place; users must follow the rules and responsible authorities that apply where the activity occurs. Nothing in the app changes the authority of a venue, coach, caregiver, governing body, regulator, or emergency service.

15

Privacy choices and legal rights

Users can choose not to save session cards, can reset the fixed local choices at any time, can avoid external links, can clear Android app storage, and can uninstall the app. Since Chalkline Atlas has no account or remote user database, the publisher ordinarily cannot search for, export, correct, or delete an app user’s record on a server. Questions about information supplied through the club’s separate registration, email, website, payment, or administration systems should identify that separate service so the request can be routed correctly. Applicable privacy and consumer rights are not limited by this explanatory policy.

16

Policy and app changes

This policy describes version 1.0.0. A future release may revise content, local preferences, technical architecture, support arrangements, or legal information. Material changes affecting data handling must be assessed before release and reflected consistently in the app, the public privacy page, store listing, Data Safety form, target-age and Families answers, and other required declarations. The effective date will be updated when the policy changes. Users should review the policy supplied with the version they install rather than assuming an older copy describes a newer build.

17

Questions, concerns, and complaints

Questions about this policy or the organization’s separate privacy practices may be directed to Cambridge Gymnastics Club Incorporated at office@cambridgegymnasticsnz.co.nz or by post to 187 Shakespeare Street, Leamington, Cambridge, New Zealand. Email and postal communication occur outside Chalkline Atlas and may involve personal data chosen by the sender. Do not send unnecessary child records, medical details, passwords, payment information, or emergency reports by ordinary email. Immediate safety concerns should be raised with the responsible adult, coach, safeguarding contact, venue staff, or emergency service as appropriate. Users may also contact the relevant privacy regulator where they have that right.

18

Effective date and source distinction

This policy is effective 12 August 2026 and applies to Chalkline Atlas version 1.0.0. The organization name, public contact channel, club history, and venue description are drawn from organization-controlled or public-register sources checked during development. Editorial images are fictional and do not depict the actual facility, members, coaches, programmes, or events. Educational feature names such as Movement Threads, Landing Compass, Session Stories, and Session Composer describe functions of this app; they must not be read as claims that the club currently operates identically named programmes. The in-app policy and the public policy page should be kept substantively identical for the released version.
