Arrive Ready
Preparation, thresholds, practical kit, adult handover, and the coach’s invitation.
READ THE ROOM BEFORE THE ROUTE
Chalkline Atlas is an offline Android companion for participants, parents and caregivers, and community volunteers. It helps readers notice preparation, shared space, communication, and club-day boundaries without pretending to replace a qualified coach or the organization’s current procedures.
WHY AN ATLAS?
A gymnastics turn includes more than an apparatus. The approach, waiting edge, coach position, landing area, exit, and neighbouring traffic all matter. The app uses a folded-studio metaphor to help a family see those relationships before movement begins.
It deliberately avoids scores, streaks, leaderboards, public profiles, child tracking, and open text. Success means clearer offline participation—not more screen time.
SIX STUDIO STRIPS
Preparation, thresholds, practical kit, adult handover, and the coach’s invitation.
Observation prompts for balance, space, support, rhythm, pause, and communication.
The approach, waiting edge, action zone, landing area, and exit—without skill instruction.
Check the space, hear the cue, choose the safe response, and tell an adult when needed.
Twelve fictional decisions with no score and no saved answer history.
Support without performance pressure, defined volunteer roles, and evidence with clear limits.
The app requests no Internet or dangerous permission. A bounded composer stores only fixed card identifiers in private device storage, with backup and transfer disabled.
Read the complete policyQualified coaches, caregivers, safeguarding personnel, venue procedures, health professionals, and emergency services remain responsible for real decisions.
